About Me

Hello! I’m Liz Rios, the founder and creative heart behind Sevelizcakes.

My journey in the world of baking began in 2022, but my passion for creating, leading, and bringing ideas to life has been with me for much longer. I have more than 15 years of experience in team leadership and operational excellence — skills that now guide every detail of what I do at Sevelizcakes.

I am a certified pastry chef, with additional certifications in Project Management and Leading People and Teams from the UMich. I truly believe that behind every stunning cake, there is not only creativity, but also planning, structure, and clear vision.

One of the highlights of my career has been participating in the international competition Greatest Baker by Buddy Valastro, an experience that challenged me, inspired me, and fueled my desire to keep growing and refining my art.

At Sevelizcakes, I blend technique, creativity, and passion to deliver unique creations: hand-painted cakes, personalized cupcakes, and desserts designed to surprise, delight, and create unforgettable moments.

But this is just the beginning. I am currently specializing and perfecting my techniques to become a wedding cake designer — a dream that has already become part of my daily work. Every day, I study, practice, and push my designs to new levels of elegance, sophistication, and artistry.

I’ve also created an exclusive digital book where I share my best recipes, tips, techniques, and tools so that both beginner and advanced bakers can grow and turn their passion into real projects.
